Indonesian food doesn’t really agree with me
and, even when asked friendly to make it not too pedis (spicy),
I am still on fire…
I didn’t come to live here for the kitchen
and dream often about Dutch fare, such as red cabbage, the Langerak way, with
apples, stewing and mashed potatoes…
And about the good old days when the women were not emancipated and still
cooked nice, Dutch meals.
And afterwards - when we, the men, had a good chat, with a nice glass of wine
and a cigar- they did the washing-up…
